How to Choose?
Ask yourself these three questions to find the right starting point.
1. Work Location
Is your access point on open ground, near a structural edge, or within a confined interior space?
2. Load Direction
Do you need to lift vertically directly from the center, or do you need reach over an obstacle?
3. Mobility Requirements
Will the rig stay static once deployed, or do you need to move it while under load or between tasks?
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I upgrade from M40 FOUR to FIVE later?
Yes. Because the M40 system is modular, many components like legs and pins are shared. You only need to purchase the specific adapter parts for the new configuration.
What is the maximum load capacity?
Ratings depend on the configuration and applicable standards. Generally, the system is rated for one person under CE certification and for rescue loads in accordance with NFPA requirements.
Are spare parts available?
Absolutely. You can re-order all individual pins, feet, and head units, so you never have to replace an entire system due to a single lost or damaged part.
Is there a mobile base option?
Yes, we offer a wheeled base for the M40 FIVE QuadPod configuration for use on a smooth and level surface.
What experience level is required?
Anyone using the Pythagoras Access System should be competent through experience or training. We can provide task specific training through our certified partners.
