Description

The Skater work seat got its name because everyone who sees the wooden seat immediately gets reminded of a skateboard.

Woodworking is everywhere in Canada, so choosing a wooden seat wasn’t impossible from a production point of view. However, the origin comes from the fact that in the past, rope access techs would make their plank by taking some plywood, drilling a few holes, and adding webbing, tape, and padding.

The nice thing about this method was that if the webbing was damaged, you could replace it. That was why we developed a board where every component could be replaced, making this product as environmentally friendly as possible!

Hopefully, you will buy it once and experience a lifetime of comfort on rope.

Using the seat is simple. Before going on a rope, clip the two carabiners into the main D-ring you will be hanging from. Most of the time, this is also the D-ring to which your descender is attached. It is important to be in the same D-ring as your descender so there are no weird pulls on your connection points.

Step 2 – You get yourself on rope first. When in position, push the seat under your butt and tighten the straps so you feel the seat lifting you up. The seat can be placed in different positions depending on your preference or what you’re doing.

A seat is a must when you spend a long time on rope. Believe me, it helps a lot!
