Description

The Katrol S is a mini pulley developed with lightness and high load efficiency in mind.

This mini pulley has high-strength side plates made of high-strength Aluminum. It also features a needle bearing that allows it to be loaded up and still provide smooth operation. In addition to its uniqueness, we believe in the right to repair, and for that reason, it comes with a bolted assembly so you can take it apart and maintain it.

The bolt itself is made of high-strength steel and can also be maintained with a rust inhibitor. Keep in mind that there is a special procedure for putting it all back together again. Loctite or something similar is required to secure the bolt inside the shaft.

Most pulley designs are built to either mind a Prusik or not to mind. This unique and typical Eyolf product has both. We have thought of a new way to mind your Prusik, while in other operations, it isn’t in the way. Why no one else has thought of this, we wonder, too. Simply said, it works, so you can stick to one style pulley and do what you need to do.

This small pulley also sits perfectly on the handled portion of a hand-ascender to create a haul and rope grab system. There is no need for an expensive tool if you can combine two common pieces and do the same.

FYI, the name Katrol comes from the Dutch language and means pulley. It is a wink to a country that is a seafaring nation. Lots of rope access is happening in the North Sea, so you don’t need a mountain to climb these days.
